S24 Ultra

The Best Samsung Yet!

The Samsung S24 is here, is it the best Samsung, the best Android, the best phone in the world, let’s find out?

In this article we will cover the new hardware, the new software, if you should buy it, and is it really the best Samsung yet?

Hardware:

Starting with the hardware, the S24 has a 200mp camera, just like last years S23. But a major difference is that Samsung swapped their previous 10x zoom camera to a 5x zoom camera. This is probably because there was bad quality pictures between the 3x zoom and 10x zoom camera last year. This addition changes that and makes zoom pictures that have 6, 7x zoom way better quality.

Another major hardware upgrade is the new titanium body, which brings some controversy that Samsung stole the titanium idea from Apple. Either way its a great upgrade that makes the phone lighter and more durable than before.

Samsung also somehow upgraded their glass apparently from Gorilla Glass Victus 2, to Gorilla Glass Armor. It baffles me how Samsung is able to upgrade their glass protection every year, just when I think that the previous generation is the one of the best protective glass.

With the S24 you can watch videos for up to 30hrs and listen to music for up to 95hrs. The S24 Ultra also comes with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as its chip.

Software:

Now the elephant in the room, Galaxy AI, all the hype, the star of the show, and the main feature of the S24. With the S24 you can circle anything, and find out more about it. If you’re on a call with another person who speaks a different language, you can get live transcripts on your call. I’m not sure if it’s 100% accurate, but it should improve in the years to come. The second feature of the new S24 is the advanced noting system. This system can summarize webpages or any long document into a short, compact statement. The third feature of this built in AI, is the new generative edit which allows you to edit your photos quick and easily. The fourth and final feature of the brand new Galaxy AI is chat assist, which translates chat text for you and according to Samsung’s website it helps “finds the right words fast”.

We also need to address that the Samsung runs on it’s One UI 6.1 based off Android 14. Giving the phone some changes in software overall. We are yet to know how significant these changes are, as the phone is not available for the public to buy.

Should You Buy It?:

Now the big question, should you buy it (or pre-order it)? I would say, yeah, sure go and buy this phone. I mean it has more changes from the S22 Ultra to the S23 Ultra. So if you have a 3-4+ year phone I would recommend this phone, as it is the best Samsung yet.
